Brooklyn Promenade Anniversary

We recently got to spend the day shooting our friends Matt and Nino at the Brooklyn Heights promenade! They were celebrating their 7 year anniversary, and we were so excited to be part of it! Our warmest congratulations to the two of them!!

Bay Ridge

We spent the day in Bay Ridge today with our friends Katie and Gaby. Katie was hoping for some nice graduation pictures, and Gaby, he just came along for the fun. After two whole weeks of rain, the Brooklyn sky finally showed us some favor, and brought us some sunshine. It was the perfect fall day!

We had lunch in a sweet bakery and cafe called Paneantico. The food was delicious! I ordered Grilled chicken with roasted peppers, portabella mushrooms and mozzarella cheese on a roll. Aida ordered practically the same (we were surprisingly craving similar foods today) grilled chicken with mozzarella cheese and sundried tomatoes on an Italian hero. The bread was crusty and sweet, and the sandwiches were presented wonderfully. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a new favorite!

Then, we made our way over to Shoe Road Park and began clicking away! The sunshine was glowing perfectly through the luscious trees, and we couldn't get enough of it! Tomorrow, we're off to Long Island for apple picking, praying that the weather stays as nice as it was today.

starting out.

Woah! So who ever thought that starting a new business would be easy? We did! We surely were surprised though, when we dived into Alectric Photography head first. We chose the name because that's what we'd like to represent, Electricity in our photos. Real sparkling chemistry with every client, in every picture. And the funny spelling? That's just us girls putting a little spin on it!

We're putting everything into this business and yes, although there is a lot of things to sort out, to plan out and to just figure out, we are NOT giving up! We love photography, especially shooting couples on their special day. The rush you get knowing that you are giving these amazing people a keepsake for the rest of their lives. Something that they will show everyone- their friends, family, children, grandchildren, and co-workers. Something that they will always treasure, and never forget. A way for them to return to that moment in time when it was just the two of them, against the whole world. It's the most incredible feeling, to be able to give someone a memory like that. Yes, we both are complete romantics at heart. But who could blame us? So we're starting this blog as a way for our clients and fans  to know what we are up to. Who we are shooting, where we are going, our future plans, our different spins on modern photography, cool DIY ideas for everyone, the coolest equipment and toys out there and the sites of other photographers who we love and admire. Come back frequently! And click here for our main site!
